Quality Golf International is a golf services enterprise with expertise in the Asian market and a reputation for delivering Quality. Our reputation is founded on developing innovative applications through combining modern technology with local expertise, enhancing the quality of the facilities at which we work, delivering world class customer service and ensuring complete customer satisfaction.

We provide a range of specialty services and select leading-edge products to golf courses in Asia – Golf Course Maintenance, Construction Management, Club Management, and Specialty Products and Services. By consistently maintaining the highest international standards, we have been fortunate to work with some of the most prestigious golf courses in Asia.

Quality Golf has a team of professionals with expertise covering a wide cross-section of the golf industry. We are headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand and since our inception in 1994 we have completed a substantial number of projects in countries throughout Asia. Our goal has always been to work with industry leaders to grow the game of golf in Asia through education, improving standards, increasing accessibility and working towards sustainability.

Management Team

Quality Golf is wholly owned and operated by its three principals – see summary profiles below. The three principals comprise the leadership team within Quality Golf and together they provide the strategic direction for the businesses and ensure that top quality products and services are delivered to all customers.

Geoff Ichii, Chief Executive Officer
Geoff graduated from York University in Canada with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1985 and is also a qualified Chartered Accountant. Geoff spent 4 years at Ernst & Young in Canada providing audit, taxation and advisory services to Canadian private and public companies. For the next 15 years, Geoff worked in the financial services industry for publicly listed Canadian and US companies where he had various senior management responsibilities including treasury and capital markets, operations management, investor relations and mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to moving to Hong Kong in 2000, Geoff held the position of Senior Vice President, International for a large US public finance company with primary responsibility for international business development including mergers and acquisitions. At the end of 2000, he assumed leadership of the company’s Asia Pacific business unit, one of six global business units within the company, as Chairman, Asia Pacific. Headquartered in Hong Kong, he was responsible for the businesses in China, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia.

Geoff joined Quality Golf in April 2007 as Chief Operating Officer and is now the Company’s Chief Executive Officer. He is responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s strategic plans and for the overall management of Quality Golf.

Tony Taylor, Executive Director
A Certified Golf Course Superintendent, Tony is the Company's original founder. Since 1992, Tony has focused much of his attention on training regional Golf Course Superintendents in state-of-the art golf course construction and maintenance practices at over 20 facilities throughout Asia. He has also worked with the European and Asian Professional Golf Tour’s to present the region’s top venues in world class condition for 19 televised golf tournaments.

Tony has served the golf industry for over 35 years and has worked with the highest profile golf clubs in both the US and Asia providing them with innovative course construction and maintenance practices, which are the core of Quality Golf’s service delivery. For more than 15 years, Tony had tremendous success constructing and managing 5-star golf properties in the US such as Innisbrook Golf Resort, which hosted several annual PGA tour events including the JC Penny Classic, The Chrysler Championships and currently the Transitions Championship.

Tony is now Executive Director and works with key industry players including Club Owners, Golf Club Captains, General Managers and Superintendents to bring them the latest technology in golf course products and services to ensure that their facilities remain at the top of their class.

Terry Doss, Director
Terry is a graduate of the University of Central Florida and is a Class ‘A’ Member of the Professionals Golfers Association of America. He is also a member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America. Terry has a wealth of experience in the golf industry ranging from designing and constructing golf courses (including as the named architect on 6 18-hole golf courses) to master planning golf course communities, course maintenance, golf operations and club management.

During his career in the golf industry, Terry spent 11 years as Executive Director of Golf Operations / General Manager with Pulte Homes (Del Webb) in the United States. Pulte is one of the largest home builders in America. At Pulte’s Spruce Creek Preserve (18 holes), Eagle Ridge (36 holes) and Spruce Creek Golf and Country Club, Terry was involved with all aspects from master planning to designing the golf courses, construction, maintenance and ongoing club management. Prior to that, he was Vice-President of Golf Operations/Golf Director at Spruce Creek Development in, Florida which is an 81-hole multi-location facility.

Terry joined Quality Golf in 2009 as Director and will bring professional expertise to Quality Golf’s clients across the complete range of services demanded by today’s golf course owners, general managers and superintendents.

The Quality Golf Philosophy

Asia has in excess of 4,000 golf courses, representing approximately 10% of the world’s total, while being home to 60% of its population. Driven by continued economic development in the region and the staging of an increasing number of high profile professional golf tournaments in Asia, the growth of golf in Asia has generated tremendous interest in development from both private and government sectors.

Notwithstanding this growth, our philosophy is focused on the belief that every project, however large or small, is a reflection of who we are. We constantly strive to provide our clients with the finest quality products and services, whether the project involves the construction of a new golf course, improving club operations or course maintenance, a bunker renovation or tournament preparation of an existing facility. Consequently, we will not undertake any project where we do not truly believe that we can provide results that meet or exceed our clients’ expectations.
